Sebastian Chan is currently the Head of Digital Services & Research at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, Australia. His web team is responsible for the Museum's online presence, a large suite of experimental projects, and the Museum's collection database, which has won several awards. He is known as a cultural sector specialist in social media and Web 2.0 applications, as well as web analytics.

At this special Arts, Culture, and Technology meetup, I will be conducting the interview and leading the conversation with Sebastian.

Along with Allegra Burnette (Museum of Modern Art), Daniel Incandela (Indianapolis Museum of Art), Nancy Proctor (Smithsonian American Art Museum), and Peter Samis (San Fransisco Museum of Modern Art), I will be talking about best practices in handheld design for Museums, as well as presenting the contents of my paper The Future of Mobile Interpretation as a component of the 2009 Museums and the Web conference in Indianapolis, Indiana.
